From Hogwarts to History
How to Chat with Any
Book Character.
What if we can talk to books we like? You may think I wanted to
write “about books” and not “to books” because grammatically, the preposition
over there is wrong, but factually, it is correct. That’s the magic of LLM
(Large Language Models) like ChatGPT. It is rewriting rules we can now actually
talk to books we like. Want to know how let’s find out together.
While using ChatGPT this is what I wrote to it.
It's amazing, isn't it? Hermione is talking to
me! Can you believe it? It's so much more interesting to talk to characters
this way, to understand them deeply, Imagine chatting with them over a cup of
tea. Alohomora, the Unlocking Charm she mentioned, is also my favorite.
Hermione may be fictional, but interacting with her like this can spark young readers' creativity.
Now, it's time to have a conversation across time.
What if you're studying French history and have
an assignment on Napoleon Bonaparte? Why not talk to him? Imagine an AI
simulation of Bonaparte!
Just look at How He begins his response:
"Ah, mon ami." This French phrase means "my friend" in
English. It’s a friendly and informal way of addressing someone, much like
saying "buddy" or "my friend" in English—a perfect way to
start the conversation.
Next, he shares his thoughts, choosing the
Battle of Austerlitz as his most brilliantly strategized and well-executed
victory. And, right at the end, he asks how you came up with such a question— A
subtly way to test your knowledge about him.
Doesn’t that make history feel more alive and
engaging?
Now what if we can ask Chatgpt to take the persona of the 1940 famous Pakistan Resolution? Let's see.
How I wish History could have been more
interesting like this.
These are just a few examples of how we can use
the power of AI, like ChatGPT, to dive deeply into fiction, history, or
historical papers. The possibilities are endless! With the advent of large
language models like ChatGPT, gone are the days of boring lectures and endless
cross-referencing in books.
Now, you have a buddy to talk to about
anything—and with anyone. So, grab a cup of tea and have a chat with your
favorite character from books. Happy reading—sorry, I mean interacting!
Amazing at Such a young age you have a clear idea of how to Explain your idea.
