Bubbly Bunch's Day Out
Bubbly Bunch’s
Day Out!
This Blog is not an average
read. Buckle up, because you're about to tag along on an unforgettable journey
with me and my crazy gang, Bubbly's Bunch.
It
was 7:30 am. I woke up, eyes wide open, heart racing. Why? Because today is the
day! The day I'm finally stepping out of the school halls and into my friends'
homes for the first time! We've been chatting and laughing at school for ages,
but today we're about to make memories so epic they'll probably end up in a
Netflix series! I scramble to look
presentable for what promised to be a truly marvelous day. My father dropped me
at the entrance of the exclusive Fazaia housing scheme.
My friend's parents are from the Air Force, so their neighborhood is like something straight out of a top-secret mission, way fancier than the regular civilian stuff I'm used to. As I stood there, feeling like I might accidentally stumble into a covert operation, Mahnoor my dear friend, and her father swooped in to rescue me.
Arriving in their car like the true VIPs they are. We chatted and laughed about our plans like a bunch of excited kids on a sugar high until we finally reached Khirad's house. As we arrived there My jaw hit the ground. There was so much space! It was like someone took the idea of room to breathe and turned it into an entire neighborhood. After I finally picked my jaw up, We knocked on Khirad's door. The look on her face when she saw me? She practically tackled me with a hug, all excited and squealing. With laughter echoing in the air, we all made our way to Manahil's place, ready to add even more chaos to our day.
When we walked into Mahnoor's house, there was this peaceful silence, like a calm before the storm but that was about to change the second we sat down. We dove into a lively chat, and then Mahnoor served us the most incredible spicy noodles loaded with chicken and veggies. It was like my taste buds had gone to heaven. She made the chocolate walnut cake herself. It was the dessert of my dreams. After we polished off that delicious meal, we then made our way to her balcony, basking in the golden sunlight, and chatting like the world didn't exist. Then we met Mahnoor's mother, who was as sweet as the cake we'd just devoured. She treated me like family
Next stop, Manahil’s house! As soon as I walked in, her mother, who was on a video call with her sister, warmly welcomed me, I felt like I was some VIP on a red carpet. I was blushing and awkwardly waving like, Is this real life?! We chatted and laughed, and then I got introduced to Manahil’s Persian cat, Milo, who was the true boss of the house, and her pet roosters, who, let's just say, had a lot to say. She served us this divine sweet dish she called Trifle. It was layers of ice cream topped with chocolate and green jelly, and under that, a magical combo of cake and custard cookies. One bite, and I swear I ascended to dessert heaven.
We had a lovely chat with Manahil’s mom, and I'll admit I was a bit shy at first, but once I felt the warmth of the super-friendly vibe, I couldn't help but slip back into my usual chatty self. Just before we headed to Amna's place, Manahil’s angel of a mother did the most unexpected thing! She handed me 200 rupees, I was taken aback, but then she hugged me and kissed my cheek like I was part of the family. Meanwhile, Mahnoor and Khirad were off in the corner, chuckling like they knew exactly what was coming. It was so sweet, I almost forgot I wasn't at a family reunion!
After
that, we went off to Amna Home, A house where a tea party awaited us. Small in
size, but massive in charm. At Tea we discussed funny TV commercials and acted
them out. Complete with our over-the-top reenactments. Trust me, the Oscars
missed out on some true talent that day.
Then, we met Amna's lovely mother before heading to Khirad's place. There we met Khirad Elder Sister Hijab Aapi, She was the epitome of coolness and the real MVP of the evening. With popcorn flying and cold drinks flowing, we turned the afternoon into a spectacle. We all played Luddo And as for snakes and ladders? Oh, victory was mine, and I basked in it like a true champion. What a day!
We
had an absolute blast touring Khirad's house. But then the cold drinks hit us,
and suddenly the bathroom became the center of attention we had an idea of who
would go to the bathroom first. So naturally, we played rock-paper-scissors to
decide who'd go first. Manahil claimed the top spot and I, well, was second
last. Because that's how the universe works, apparently. We couldn't stop
laughing at the absurdity of it all. After pulling ourselves together, we met
Khirad's mother, and then it was time for the real mission.
Our
next big plan. With 200 rupees pooled together, we were ready for another
adventure, a trip to the CSD market. We set off on a long walk with the
ever-cool, Api hijab, and just like that, we were on the road to unforgettable
memories. We broke a thousand rules of politeness on that walk, laughter
echoing every step of the way, and talking full-on uncontrollable giggles. In
the middle of the road, we stumbled upon a small mountain, with a staircase
that looked straight out of a fairy tale. Naturally, we climbed it. When I
reached the top, I was met with a view so breathtaking that it's burned into my
memory forever,
The serene beauty of Green Park. Everywhere I looked, there was vibrant emerald grass, rolling mountains, and kids laughing and playing below with their parents. It was one of those moments where you just stood there, speechless, taking it all in. Unforgettable.
Naturally,
Amna, Mahnoor, and I decided to make a competition out of it. Who could climb
down the mountain first? It was something I'd never done before, and sure, it
seemed a bit tough, but that's exactly what made it exciting, right? We started
our descent, carefully picking our way down the steep, uneven rocks, feeling
like we were in an adventure movie. Mahnoor, of course, zoomed past us like a
pro, claiming victory. Amna came in second, and well, I took my sweet time,
finishing last. But did we stop there? Nope! We climbed right back up and raced
down again, this time moving swiftly like seasoned mountaineers. We couldn't
stop laughing when Amna did her hilarious Cinderella act on the stairs. I'm
telling you, I laughed so hard my stomach ached. It was one of those moments
where you just can't control it. Pure comedy gold. Then on the count of three,
we screamed at the top of our lungs, letting out all the energy we had. It was
something I'd been dying to do for ages, and yes, it was on my bucket list. Finally,
we all made our way to CSD, and the moment I walked in, I gasped.
The
place was so neatly arranged, every item perfectly placed on its designated
shelf. I was honestly impressed. Everything had its spot. I roamed and charted
my way through the store. We finally made our exit and headed straight for the
food break. Biryani, pastries, juicy shawarma, crispy fries, cone ice cream,
and of course, cold drinks—you name it, we had it. At that point, I was almost
certain food poisoning was coming my way.
As we were laughing like maniacs, we spotted a shopping cart parked outside by CSD market, just chilling by the peaceful road. We exchanged mischievous glances and went absolutely bonkers with the shopping cart. We took turns sitting in it and racing it down the road like a bunch of wild kids.
When it was my turn, I knew I was in for the ride of a lifetime. I sat down, and Khirad took control, gripping the handle like she was revving up a motorcycle, wishing me luck with a grin, and off we went. She sped down the path, breaking through the wind as if we were in some high-speed chase. I loved every second of it.
We
took a break at a park where we swung like we were five again, then ventured
past an old haunted house that probably had more stories to tell than we did.
Finally,
we reached another mountain. By now, the evening had settled in, and the
sky—oh, the sky—looked like a giant masterpiece. Shades of blue, orange, and
pink mixed as if nature itself decided to wrap us up in the most magical
blanket of all time. It was one of those moments that made you want to pause
and say, yep, this is life.
One
last time, just to make sure the entire neighborhood knew we were leaving, we
screamed and then piled into Mahnoor's car to drop me off. I thanked Mahnoor's
father before heading toward Baba, who was ready to take me home. When I
finally got home, I couldn't wait to share the madness of the day. I told my
little sister Afia and my mother about all the craziness we'd done. Every
laugh, every moment.
As I write this blog, I can almost feel the memories coming to life again. Like they were still happening. Honestly, this was hands-down the best and most unforgettable day of 2024. Like, if I had to pick one day to live over and over again, this would be it.
Dear besties, thank you, every one of you. This day is now permanently etched in my brain as a top-tier memory. I swear I'll never forget it. Every laugh, every moment. It's all gonna stay with me forever.
