UPGRADING PAKISTAN'S EDUCATION
“HOW CAN WE UPGRADE PAKISTAN’S EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM?”
Pakistan is a country with many bright
kids who want a chance for a better future. Our parents work hard to send us to
school, but the point is – our schools need some serious improvements.
I'm a
thirteen-year-old Pakistani, and in this blog, I will share some ideas on how
we can make our schools way better. So, Let's get into it!
Firstly,
let's talk about how some places, like Punjab, have better schools than others,
like Sindh. In Punjab, students get free laptops – cool, right? Even government
schools there are pretty good. So, in Sindh, let's try to get laptops for
students too, and maybe focus a bit more on English than Sindhi – it might help
us do better in our studies.
Next up,
we've got a shortage of good teachers. Not to complain, but some teachers could
use some help. How about having teacher programs that could help them improve
their teaching skills? Microsoft used to have a free teacher training program in
the early 90s in Pakistan which helped teachers significantly to improve their
teaching skills we need to engage similar organizations to restart the same
sort of programs.
Now, let's
talk about something exciting – our interests. Imagine having a day where
teachers conduct interviews with every student to find out in what subjects and
skills, they are good at. This way we can encourage individualized learning.
This will enhance students' capabilities and make them more interested in their
studies.
Now, the
not-so-fun stuff – broken floors, dirty bathrooms, and not enough water. Plus,
those hard chairs are not comfortable! Our schools should get some improvements
– comfortable chairs, clean bathrooms, and maybe some paint on the walls. It
will make school a much better place.
Lastly, my
backpack feels super heavy with all those books. Can we ease up a bit on the
subjects? Maybe have special days for different subjects or shorter quizzes? It
would be easier for us. I won’t criticize our schools – I just want to make
things better. Share your thoughts below, and let's make our schools a great
place to learn! 😊
