Magnificent walls and windows made of wood carved beautifully on their frames, a wonderful historical place in Karachi, the "Mohatta Palace" also known as the "Taj Mahal of Karachi"
Mohatta Palace |
It is one of the best places where your kids can learn about the history
Shivratan Chandraratan Mohatta was the owner of this palace. At the independence of Pakistan, they (the Mohatta family) moved to Islamabad. Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah (sister of Quaid Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan) lived in this building until she died in 1967. Then her sister moved to this place and lived in the Mohatta Palace until she died in 1980.

Here is a
detailed account of my visit to this museum:
Me Standing at Palace |
On Sunday afternoon, my uncle Dr. Samiullah drove us to visit this place. And we enjoyed it a lot.
Beautiful Stuff My Uncle Bought for Me |
I was unable to take photos from inside because phones were not allowed.
I witnessed
women's ancient embroidered clothes, the old currency of Pakistan, beautiful
paintings, and an ancient statue of Buddha. It was a wonderful trip.
